All caladiums have some
shade of green in their
leaves, and some have
blushes,speckles,or
veinsofred,pink,or
wh ite. They grow 10 to
30 inches tall. Some
varieties require shade;
others tolerate a few
hours of sun. Here are
some of our f avo rites.
«FLORIDA ELISE’
Soft pink flecks over
dark green make this
caladium a standout in
shade gardens. It grows
to 16 inches tall and can
grow in shade or
with a few
hours of sun
each day.
CALADIUM
CANDIDUM
Choose either C.
candidum,
up to
20 inches tall, or the
dwarf C.
candidum
‘Junior’, up to 12 inches
tall. Both varieties
require shade.

«RED FLASH’
Full sun for a couple
hours a day is just fine
with‘Red Flash—just
don’t allow the soil to
dry out. It grows 20 to
30 inches tall.
«Miss
m u f f e t
One of the prettiest
cultivars, and one of
the smaller ones at
about 14 inches tall,
this speckled and
blushed plant is
perfect for pots.
«ROSEBUD’
Deep pink veins on
foliage that grows
about 20 inches tall
make ‘Rosebud’ easy
to mix with pink and
white impatiens in
the shade.
«FLORIDA RED
RUFFLES’
Wavy leaves shine
their brightest red if
exposed to a few hours
of full sun each day on
a plant that grows
about 15 inches tall.®
